IX-API

Some Internet exchange points can provide access to IX-API instance that hold details about services and features available to members as well as the ones a member already subscribed to.

Supported IX-API versions are v1 and v2.

In Peering Manager

Inside Peering Manager, you create an IX-API object and then assign it to IXPs. Details found in IX-API will be fetched and displayed in a dedicated tab in the IXP detail view.

  • Name: a name for the local IX-API object.
  • URL: the URL to connect to the remote IX-API.
  • API key: the unique key to connect to IX-API.
  • API secret: the unique secret to connect to IX-API.
  • Identity: the account object found in IX-API to be used as primary identity.
